Description de emploi

Brief description:
The Learning Technology Teaching Assistant must have a good understanding of the components of ISL core Learning software, the ability to advise, guide and troubleshoot problems, and to support faculty, students and community members as necessary.

Supports ISL Vision Implementation Plan by: Ensuring that the students and staff receive the support necessary to achieve high quality learning through the technology systems provided, and to facilitate skill development in line with our Strategic Plan.
 
Profile: (training, experience, skills and aptitudes necessary to do the job)
   » 0 to 3 years’ experience providing end-user support in systems or software;
   » Experience supporting integrated technology in a one-to-one program.
   » Good Knowledge of common tools in Digital Learning environments (Browsers, LMS, etc)
   » Knowledge in common tools found in Digital Administration environments (SIS, Inventory management, booking etc)
   » Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
   » Service orientation, and drive to support student and faculty learning
   » Educational Technology Certifications preferred: Google/Microsoft Educator Level One, Common Sense Media Education certification or equivalent.
   » Successfully completed secondary school education (11 ieme /3 ieme; or equivalent);
   » Excellent digital literacy skills, and proficient in device literacy and digital citizenship.
   » Up-to-date knowledge on recent developments in digital literacy, device literacy, and digital citizenship.
   » Familiarity with one-to-one technology implementations within schools preferred.
   » Good knowledge of troubleshooting ISL core or provided hardware (Laptop, desktop, Ipads) and peripherals.
   » Good knowledge of English (French and German language proficiency is recommended)

Among main responsibilities:
General
   » Support the Head of Educational and Media Technologies, and the Upper School Digital Learning Coaches, in the day-to-day tasks of the ISL Connects helpdesk.
   » Be familiar with ISL rules and guidance, and support the proper use of ISL physical and digital learning spaces.
   » Attend Digital Learning or IT meetings, and Upper School / Whole School meetings as required.
   » Other duties as the Head of Educational and Media Technologies, and Director may require
 
ISL Connects Inventory
   » Manage the inventory of devices handled and distributed by ISL Connects, and support the users in signing out hardware, and proper use.
   » Manage the communication around returns and tracking inventory, supporting the guidance regarding returning ISL devices or peripherals.
   » Conduct annual inventory, reorder, and receive delivery of inventory items, and contribute to the innovation and development of digital devices available for booking.
 
ISL Connects Helpdesk
   » Act as the first point of contact for all community members regarding the correct and proper functioning of ISL core digital tools, and core hardware.
   » Manage the redirection of community needs, based on the issues faced (Hardware to IT Support, Digital Curriculum to DLCs, Network Systems / logins to IT etc)
   » Support community members if the correct use, advice, guidance, and general knowledge of ISL core digital tools, for the purpose of learning and teaching.
   » Contribute to a service oriented, problem solving outlook for technology support across ISL, with a focus on learning and wellbeing.
   » Manage the use of Informational screens to communicate updates in Digital Learning, and the wider school.
 
Digital Learning Support
   » Be knowledgeable about, and advocate for the use of, the DQ framework to guide mentor and support Digital fluency and responsibility.
   » Collaborate with the Head of Educational and Media Technologies, and the Upper School Digital Learning Coaches, in the construction and delivery of digital learning training content and strategies, using ISL core tools.
   » Collaborate with the Head of Educational and Media Technologies, and the Upper School Digital Learning Coaches, in the communication of changes and updates in the functions of ISL core tools.
   » Actively promote the use of ISL core technologies and Digital literacies within the wider school community
