Description de emploiDESCRIPTIONAmazon is looking for a detail oriented and highly motivated Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to join the EU Sustainable Packaging Team in Luxembourg. Are you passionate about sustainability and interested in driving packaging waste reduction efforts across Amazon? This is your opportunity to be part of a core team that actively reduces the packaging waste while delighting our customers, ultimately helping us reach our Climate Pledge goals. The EU Sustainable Packaging Team owns the programs that reduce outbound packaging material weight per shipment aiming to lessen the burden of packaging waste management for customers, decrease fulfilment cost and carbon emissions. We are a Team of Program Managers, Packaging Experts, Data Analytics professionals that interfaces with core Finance, Sustainability, Operations, Engineering, Amazon Robotics, Procurement, Legal, and Public Relations to design and deliver solutions that eliminate waste, reduce damage, driving significant savings for Amazon and ultimately delight our customers. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer will be responsible for developing, enhancing, automating and managing analytics and BI solutions using strong analytics skills. They will create data structures, and build complex models used to analyze data, deep dive root causes of operational issues or challenges, drive process improvements, build KPIs and metrics, and document systems and processes for internal publication. The Business Intelligence Engineer has a direct and high impact on metrics and goals. They identify opportunities, develop entitlement models and mechanisms to track project specific and overall packaging mix impact. Moreover, they contribute to create the packaging long-term vision by providing key business insights identifying high-impact opportunities and unique in-depth ideas. They will be successful in this role if they have a track of experience combining both analytical and business competencies. Moreover, they will need excellent communication and networking skills as they will work with global data owners to guarantee data accuracy and appropriated granularity, while producing datasets that will be used for internal and external compliance reports. The ability to work independently and deal in an ambiguous environment is a must. Ownership of work is extremely important, and candidates should have a proven record of troubleshooting and problem solving. The ideal candidate is motivated, agile, and able to succeed in a fast-paced, analytical environment. Key job responsibilities » Collect, analyze and present actionable data to drive business decisions at a senior level » Ensure data accuracy in internal data pipelines and validate data for new and existing products. » Write high quality code to retrieve and analyze data using SQL, and scripting language (e.g. Python) » Establish new, scalable, efficient, automated processes for tracking and reporting on progress of initiatives. This includes data analysis for program launches and its impact on the business. » Learn and understand a broad range of Amazon's data resources (including AWS services) and make use appropriately » Serve as liaison between the business and technical teams to support future improvements or innovation. » Prioritize analytical problem statements to ensure the Team works on the highest impact projects and earn stakeholder trust. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Luxembourg, LUX BASIC QUALIFICATIONS » Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics or other business/analytical discipline » Extensive professional experience in Business Intelligence / Business Analytics field » Demonstrated ability to draw insights from data and clearly communicate them to both business and technical teams » Advanced SQL skills and hands-on experience » Proven proficiency in Tableau, Quicksight, or other advanced data visualization tool » Advanced ETL management skills » Intermediate coding skills (ex Python) » Intermediate AWS skills (Lambda, Redshift, S3, QS, and more) » Experience in building and implementing ML / DS models PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS » MBA or Master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, economics or other analytical disciplines » AWS Certifications » Experience using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex data sets up to billions of records » Advanced skills in scripting languages such as Python, R, etc » Experience building Software modules using Java or other programming language is a plus Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
